Business Development Representative

Herrmann seeks a Business Development Representative to pave the way into new organizations by developing valuable relationships with prospects in Financial Services

The Opportunity

The Financial Services Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for the introduction and success of Whole Brain Thinking system. You will actively seek out new business opportunities and introduce the ongoing lifetime value of Whole Brain Thinking. The BDM will sell the full suite of Herrmann solutions and be responsible for developing relationships with multiple buyers within these accounts, to develop and close larger opportunities. Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of achievement selling to large enterprise financial services organizations.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

  • Develop a strong understanding of target buyers, domain knowledge, products and competitors.
  • Prospect and identify new opportunities to build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and sell to multiple buyers within an organization.
  • Implement a consultative, solution selling, methodology.
  • Ability to develop and close sales exceeding $100,000 in annual value
  • Work with Marketing and Revenue teams to execute campaigns to top buyers.
  • Exceed assigned sales objectives and quarterly bookings quotas.
  • Accurately manage and forecast your business using HubSpot.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have 3-5 years’ direct consultative Sales experience (B2B) in SaaS/services
  • Confirmed sales record of accomplishment in generating new business in the financial services industry vertical
  • You are experienced in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Docs Suite and web-based SaaS customer platforms (e.g.,HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • You can handle multiple projects at a time while keeping designs very detailed oriented to communicate with our internal team and partners and can work under stress and meet scheduled deadlines
  • You have excellent oral and written skills combined with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including executives and C-level
  • You’re focused in creating your own path and processes to deliver projects
  • You consider yourself a self-starter/self-motivated with an attitude of working together to increase service efficiency and process
  • Outstanding Teammate with a positive attitude
  • You have prior experience working in a mobile and remote environment

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Education: a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Finance or Economics, highly preferred
  • 5+ Years selling into larger commercial accounts
  • Background or training in a consultative/Solution Sales process
  • Strong blueprinting, prospecting, cold-calling skills

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Proven, measurable, and successful experience as a "hunter" into the largest US companies.
  • Proven, measurable, and successful experience in growing revenue within an existing account
  • Ability to develop and manage a high volume of opportunities.
  • Must be motivated, dedicated and a self-starter.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and creative problem solving skills.
  • Must have a verifiable history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Willingness to travel approx. 30%.
  • Experience using HubSpot a plus.
  • Specialized Skills and Knowledge: Experience in selling SaaS product highly desirable.
  • Experience with Sandler Selling, SPIN Selling, or Solution Selling a plus.

We are a 100% remote-working/virtual company, and this role can be performed from any location of your choosing, so long as you have a high bandwidth internet connection; a relatively quiet workspace to work from; and are located near a major passenger airport. You will be expected to be able to travel when needed (minimum of 30%) for customer-facing meetings/events, and a few times each year, you must be available to travel for internal team activities/meetings that require your physical presence.
