Industrials & Materials Business Development Manager

Herrmann seeks a Business Development Manager to open doors and build valuable relationships in Industrials and Materials

The Opportunity

The Industrials Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for the introduction and success of Whole Brain Thinking system. You will actively seek out new business opportunities and introduce the ongoing lifetime value of Whole Brain Thinking within the industrial, manufacturing, transportation and engineering business verticals. The BDM will sell the full suite of Herrmann solutions and be responsible for developing relationships with multiple buyers within these accounts, to develop and close larger opportunities. Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of achievement selling to large enterprise financial services organizations.

Duties and Essential Job Function

  • Develop a strong understanding of target buyers, domain knowledge, products and competitors.
  • Prospect and identify new opportunities to build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and sell to multiple buyers within an organization.
  • Implement a consultative, solution selling, methodology. Ability to develop and close sales exceeding $100,000 in annual value
  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams to execute campaigns to top buyers.
  • Exceed assigned sales objectives and quarterly bookings quotas.
  • Accurately manage and forecast your business using HubSpot.

 

You should have...

  • 3-5 years’ direct consultative Sales experience (B2B) in SaaS/services
  • Confirmed sales record of accomplishment in generating new business in the industrial, manufacturing, transportation and engineering industry verticals
  • You are experienced in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Docs Suite and web-based SaaS customer platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • You can handle multiple projects at a time while keeping designs very detailed oriented to communicate with our internal team and partners and can work under stress and meet scheduled deadlines
  • You have excellent oral and written skills combined with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including executives and C-level
  • You’re focused in creating your own path and processes to deliver projects
  • You consider yourself a self-starter/self-motivated with an attitude of working together to increase service efficiency and process; Outstanding Teammate with a positive attitude
  • You have prior experience working in a mobile and remote environment

Required Experience

  • Education: a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Finance or Economics, highly preferred
  • 5+ Years selling into larger commercial accounts within the vertical space to include industrial, manufacturing, transportation and engineering.
  • Background or training in a consultative/Solution Sales process Strong blueprinting, prospecting, cold-calling skills

Preferred Additional Experience

  • Proven, measurable, and successful experience as a "hunter" into the largest US companies.
  • Proven, measurable, and successful experience in growing revenue within an existing account
  • Ability to develop and manage a high volume of opportunities.
  • Must be motivated, dedicated and a self-starter.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a verifiable history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Willingness to travel approx. 30%.
  • Experience using HubSpot a plus.
  • Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
    • Experience in selling SaaS product highly desirable.
    • Experience with Sandler Selling, SPIN Selling, or Solution Selling a plus.
